Monica Lizano was born in 1973 in Costa Rica. She studied at the University of Costa Rica and has been working as a visual artist since 1998. She has participated in numerous exhibitions in various places including San José (Costa Rica), New York (USA), Soncino (Italy), Omaha (Nebraska, USA), Paris (France), among others. The main objective when doing her art is to fill the environment with POSITIVE ENERGY. Representing that union between everyone and everything, as part of a whole that returns to the origin where it is possible to recognize that truth. Either expressing personal feelings through the theme of fish, where she uses them as a symbol to capture the energy transported by sensations in each phase of life. Either with the power of design, combined with a plastic of organic forms, exploring and experimenting with the force of bright colors, she works to transmit vibrations of well-being, satisfaction, serenity, hope... many times harmonious, many other contradictory and irreverent. With free strokes, figures that migrate to abstraction through sinuous waves, pronounced textures and the incorporation of mixed media is that she executes her artistic work.
