It has always been very important for Lancaster to find a good balance between the luxury hospitality industry and sustainability. The last few years we have made some important and positive changes in order to reduce our energy consumption and carbon footprint. For example, our beauty products in the rooms are now available only in big refillable containers and produced by a local company that only uses vegan and bio products. As a hotel we need to take action in line with guests’ needs, reduce our carbon footprint but keep the 5-star Hotel Lancaster experience that the guests are seeking by booking one of our rooms. The hotel undertakes environmental actions such as changing sheets at the client's request, using local products in the kitchen with seasonal menus, collaborating with organic brands for products in the room, recycling used oil transformed into organic fuel, and using silicone coasters instead of paper ones to avoid waste. We also ask our suppliers to be committed and we make sure of this before starting a partnership.

We know we cannot alone rid the world of plastic pollution, but we want to help in any way that we can! One additional way we have been supporting this effort is by in real life beach clean ups! Clean ups are something that everyone can do at a beach, river, lake, park, forest, trail, etc.! Just one piece of plastic at a time we can make the world a safer place to live!
