Sustainable inclusive playground!
4 months ago1 kgplastic recovered
Our mission is to transform the plastic banana bags and nun necks waste encountered in the environment into a strong and sustainable inclusive playground made of plastic wood. With this initiative we seek to support and help the children of the María Reyna de La Paz school, an inclusive public institution that is scarce in resources.
Our project will reuse approximately 800 kilograms of plastic. With this extensive collection, we are ready to build the necessary playground structures, including handrails, a castle, a swing, and ramps to ensure their joy and inclusion.
We are working closely with the Rotary Club of Sullana, making this initiative extend its reach beyond the playground. We will develop environmental education programs and awareness workshops aimed at integrating environmental sensibility into the community.
By combining environmental responsibility with community empowerment, our projects work to promote circular economy principles, reduce environmental impact and, most importantly, improve the lives of disadvantaged children by ensuring they have spaces where they feel valued and included.Recovery Entity supported

Education and communication for more opportunities
4 months ago1 kgplastic recovered
The resources will be used in communication and environmental education campaigns in Costa Rica, so that consumers learn how to deliver materials to the collection centers and that way increase the volume of plastic recovery before it reaches landfills or water sources.
You can help us strengthen the value chain of our allies, the grassroots recyclers, giving priority to those centers that are led by and employ more women. In these cases, we will be able to offer better purchase prices and provide them with technical support for their own business expansion plans.
Our measure of success will be the number of people sensitized to the process and the increase in tons of plastic material for recycling that reaches our value chain. We will be able to measure this because we keep detailed control of the material received from each collection center.
