Reciclador Chile, an organization dedicated to recycling and environmental sustainability, is seeking improvements and funding to enhance their operations and efficiency. Reciclador Chile currently has five digital Roman scales that are used to track the weight of collected plastic. The collected quantities are reported daily through a WhatsApp group and recorded in Excel spreadsheets for traceability and data analysis. To improve accuracy and efficiency, a new digital Roman scale is needed, along with software to automate data entry and a soil stabilizer for weighing plastic optimally. This will optimize weighing procedures and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 certification requirements. In addition to the scale, Reciclador Chile aims to acquire three folding tents for corporate and recycling activities. These tents will be used in outdoor events to provide shelter from sunlight and rain, and they will feature the Reciclador Chile logo. The organization's service truck, used for transporting collected plastic, requires mechanical and aesthetic repairs due to continuous use and wear. Tasks such as rust removal, dent repair, repainting, and component replacements are necessary to restore the truck's functionality. To enhance security and control access, Reciclador Chile plans to replace the existing manual gate with an automatic gate for their facilities. The automatic gate will provide better security and monitoring of vehicular and pedestrian access. The implementation of a crane arm is essential to assist in lifting heavy bags, sacks, and containers, reducing the strain on workers, and preventing injuries caused by overexertion. This will improve employee well-being, productivity, and reduce absenteeism. To address the uneven surfaces and instability of the soil in their facilities, Reciclador Chile requires a soil stabilizer. This stabilizer will prevent vehicles from getting stuck and improve maneuverability, ensuring smooth operations and timely fulfillment of work obligations.

Electric tricycles for plastic collection ♻️

We are overjoyed with the remarkable results we have achieved, and being able to rely on these electric tricycles once again fills us with immense satisfaction. They have been a crucial asset in providing efficient recycling services to the community, significantly enhancing the sustainability of our processes.

This funding has become a powerful motivator for our team, igniting a renewed sense of determination to continue our mission of recovering plastics and recyclable waste from different communities in Chile. With each step, we are reminded of the positive impact this project has on the environment, society, and the economy.

Our hearts are filled with gratitude towards Plastiks’ tools and Rosita’s funding for their invaluable contribution to the continuation of this significant endeavor. It empowered us to continue building a greener and more eco-conscious community. Without their generous assistance, none of this would have been possible.

In 2020 we acquired three electric tricycles for recycling operations in the Quintero commune. These tricycles were used to transport plastics from the Recycling Module to our facilities, to perform beach cleanups and to carry out awareness-raising activities in schools. In addition to being electric vehicles which do not emit CO2 into the environment, we use photovoltaic panels to recharge them, which makes a large part of our operations with a low CO2 footprint. Currently these tricycles are out of service because their batteries, after two years of intensive use, said enough. In addition to needing a change of batteries, it is necessary to change the tires (the old ones will be recycled correctly 😉) lights, brakes and motion sensors. We are asking for your support to put these tricycles back into circulation and to be able to continue our plastic recovery operation with a low CO2 footprint.

What is a Plastic Credit (PC)?

The Plastic Credit (PC) is an NFT. The PC is rooted in real recovery data and is accessible for anyone to view. The information is stored on the blockchain for transparency, and traceability and is represented as a digital certificate.

A PC is proof that plastic was recovered and recycled.

You will receive the PC when you support the recovery of plastic. The images shown are from the flora & fauna from the location where the plastic is recovered.
